The SIMPLOT 34-axis horizontal poultry plucker uses upper and lower banks of rotating rubber-finger shafts to process birds continuously through an enclosed chamber. The documented arrangement includes 16 upper shafts and 18 lower shafts.
Two geared motors drive the shaft groups, while the enclosed body and service covers support routine inspection and cleaning. Working clearance and finger type are selected around bird species, average weight and the upstream scalding result.
Planning capacity is approximately 1,000–1,500 birds per hour. Final output, power, material grade and machine interfaces are confirmed after project review; custom configurations are available.
