The SIMPLOT A-Type poultry plucking machine is installed around an overhead shackle conveyor. Birds travel between multiple banks of rotating rubber-finger discs so that plucking contact is distributed along the conveying path.
The documented configurations include a 48-disc model planned for approximately 4,000 birds per hour and a 72-disc model planned for approximately 5,000 birds per hour. Mechanical adjustment points allow the working position and angle to be commissioned for the actual poultry and conveyor.
Final output and plucking result depend on upstream scalding, bird weight, line speed and rubber-finger setup. Custom voltage, finger arrangement and line-interface details can be discussed.
